Does your bank still have safe deposit boxes and are you currently a holder of one? A lot of banks are getting out of the game and it’s really difficult to sign up for them, if you can find them. There have also been accounts of people who had changed their mailing address and visited their boxes after a while and finding them empty. They missed the notice from the bank. It’s a dying practice and I’d consider that when making your long term plan.
