For side projects I resurrected my old Lenovo P1 gen2. Linux Mint, Docker desktop, ZED, Claude. Works like charm for current needs. The only limitation is virtual Android devices are too heavy for it. And for sure no MacOS to build and test iOS apps locally. But I develop in React Native and use EAS for iOS builds. Work horse is Apple M3 Pro. It's a real monster. If I could install Linux there (but no due to corporation's rules), it would be the perfect device.
