Amplenote, Upnote, Capacities, Evernote, Apple Notes, Craft, etc….all of them with varying levels of success. However none of them felt great and I felt forced into using the app the way the maker intended, not the way I wanted to use the app or how my brain works. Notion was the closest, but I felt I was spending more time managing Notion than using it. I also use Poke as an AI assistant. The biggest AHA moment came one night laying in bed with things it just needed to get out of my head into a note, and didn’t know where to put it, and if I would remember which tool or have easy access to recall it. I ended up building, and just recently finished, an app that replaces all of those app, pulling the best of what they all do, with fully integrated tasks, notes, quick jots, email triage, AI assistant features from Poke, auto task creation from email and text, neural graph (think obsidian), full encryption via a personal vault mechanic, and much more. It’s designed for how my brain works, and i think it’s better than any of the other apps ive used, as it’s built for me. Ive cancelled my Notion, Poke and Craft subscriptions, and now fully use my app. I’m not selling it, it’s just for me and a few friends, so not looking for people to use it or try it, as I’m not interested in hearing people say you should change this or do that. I built it for me, and it’s perfect for my work style. For those interested, it’s build with React, Next.js, and Supabase, with all notes and tasks have a markdown backing for full export capabilities.
