Android fragmentation is a nightmare
commentyo first off. no ads and no subscription? on a camera app? thats rare. most of them are either freemium hell or subscription garbage. so respect. the device diagnostic thing is smart but also scary. you say it adjusts the pipeline per phone? thats ambitious. android fragmentation is a nightmare. i used to build android apps and gave up cause every samsung model behaved diffrently. hope you have good crash reporting. procedural color grading vs luts is a legitimate flex. luts are lazy. procedurally generating the look means it adapts to the lighting conditions not just slaps a filter. film photographers will appreciate that. the bloom and halation thing is interesting. most apps just add a blur. making it bleed light correctly is subtle but people notice when its done well. dual sliders in viewfinder is something i miss from old google camera. they removed it and nobody knows why. good on you for bringing it back. half frame collage and double exposure are niche but for people who like that stuff, having it built in is huge. the retro polaroid frame is fine but every app has that. not a diffrentiator. real feedback though. the name candela is fine but hard to spell. people will search "candle camera" and find something else. maybe not a big deal. also 8 bucks lifetime is cheap. but people on android are cheap. they expect free. so your conversion might be low even though the price is fair. does it work on my phone? i have a pixel 7. can test. but you didnt drop a link. i searched play store for "candela camera" and saw one from a diffrent dev. so maybe you need to share the exact url. also what about raw capture. does it save raw files or just jpeg. serious photographers want raw. the film profile names are important. if you name them "vintage 1" its boring. if you name them after real film stocks like portra or ektar, people connect more. but legal might be an issue. drop the link and i'll test it on my pixel. good luck.
