I used RepairShopr from 2014 until 2023. It was one of the first systems that was around for this type of work, much like PCRT. They used to be great at adding features, improving things, and generally making things easier for repair shop owners. But then the company was sold to private equity and everything went downhill in my last couple years of using it, they were down for maintenance more times than I can count. It caused many issues where we couldn’t get work done for hours at a time. Repairdesk is a lot newer and only came into play around 2020-2021 if I remember correctly. One of my colleagues in the area jumped over there and for his business he loved it. I got a generous trial from them and tried RepairDesk and RepairShopr side by side for a few months. I don’t know if it was just because of my history and familiarity with RepairShopr, but things there felt a lot more polished than RepairDesk did. Now mind you this was 3 years ago, and I have since closed my shop down so I am sure RepairDesk has gotten many updates, as has RepairShopr. Try them both for a month and see if it saves you time and helps you stay more organized than your current system, and if it does, determine whether or not that amount of time or organization is worth the monthly fee.
